Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

I love sending and receiving Christmas Cards! Love to see the family photos, read snippets about folks I don’t get to see often. My cards went out a few weeks ago so I thought I’d share them with you.

I started with a 3 1/2″ trifold card from Papertrey Inc. None of my cards were the same. I used scraps of red ,blue and cream on the front and tied it up with some red twine from the Twinery that I attached a mini manilla tag to { stamped with holly leaves and berries}.The Peace and Joy stamp is from Papertreys Christmas Blessings set. I inked the edges to give it a vintage feel and cut the edge of one side so it looked more like a banner.

 On the inside I stamped a greeting using a stamp from Papertreys Christmas Blessings set. Our family photo is on the third flap that folds inward over the greeting.

I really appreciate handwritten snail mail so I added a personal message on the back of the photo flap!

Do you send out Christmas Cards? It seems to be a lost art..but it really is a gift of yourself and each time an envelope is opened and a message unveiled..you bring smiles and joy to someone!

  2. Your Christmas cards was exquisite and showed so much love for the recipient. I was so blessed to be included in your list and have looked at your card many times. I remember being a little girl and you teaching me so many things. My husband and son always ask how I became so creative and the only answer is you. You lead me and guided me. You held me under your wing in spite of the fact that I was just a neighbor with a colorful life. Your creativity is inspiring and I am so very thankful to have been a part of it and the fact that you are now blogging about it and despite being across America from each other, you still inspire me and teach me. I love you so much. You are an amazing woman of God! Love you! Maryanna

    1. Had to wait until I stopped crying to respond!
      First of all you were not just a neighbor, you are a part of my family..God’s
      family for sure but also my earthly family. You were there for me..{okay good thing this is not paper because it would soaking wet now} you helped me with so many things and most importantly you helped me teach my girls what it meant to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the place He puts us. You see I didn’t particularly like living there. But because I wanted to stay home and not work that’s what we could afford. God had a plan so much bigger than me. He wanted your heart {and your sisters} and my girls saw you all come to know Him and now they know that you don’t have to stand on a street corner and yell about the Lord or preach to those who don’t yet know Him. They know that in loving the people He has put around He uses them to change lives.I love you too my friend and sister and am blessed beyond measure to see that you are a loving mother to your beautiful children and that you all are walking with the one that saves us!I know your journey is difficult..mine was challenging too when my kids were little…be faithful to Him and walk in obedience {you don’t have to be perfect remember}
      Merry Christmas!
